In 2002 I had a stroke and no longer could I beat anybody. Just gave up on chess. Follow by another in 2008. Then in 2010 I was diagnoses with Sleep Apnea. After they got it under control, a friend who just retired, set me up on Red Hot Pawn. Wasn’t expected much but to my surprise, I started to see things on a board again.
Now I just have to handle the problem that the stroke cause like: lost of memory (include not retaining lines of play), mixing moves up, not having the ability to see beyond a few moves, and even clicking when I don't want to. I guess most annoying is every once in a while I have a bad day and loss several games because of it. But life goes on.
