I'm quite good at chess but not that good. I'm also quite good at cricket but have never hit a century. Sometimes I lose interest and get timed out (talking about chess now, although this could, I suppose, apply to cricket and most other things, fatherhood, work, sex, life etc) but have recently completed at least a couple of games. Lost both but maintained a least a passing interest in the games.
