Bio
I first took chess seriously at the age of 24 when i joined, and played for, St.James Chess Club between 1976-1980. I managed to reach the dizzy heights of 125 BCF (1600 elo). At the same time i began to play correspondence chess with the BCCA where i managed 160 BCF (around 1800 elo) in The Golden Age of Stamps!.
I ceased playing any competitive chess (though i kept my hand in playing chess computers) about 1983-4 until 2010 when i began online corres' chess.
Now at the grand old age of 60 i find my chess, like me, older but no wiser!. In my opinion there is no greater board game than chess - it really is The Beautiful Game.
