I'm a former PacMall Chess player. After that site closed down, I stopped playing for about 8 years. I came to RHP, March, 2015. Though I'm older and some powers of concentration for intense (over-the-board) play have weakened, my correspondence & positional play seem to have improved.
For years, I have followed the opening lines collected by I. A. Horowitz then de Firmian's "MCO 13 [through]15". More recently, I have begun to consult 365Chess.com. Once in the middlegame, Reuben Fine and Jeremy Silman have been most instructive. Laszlo Polgar's "5334 Problems..." helps me look for (and sometimes find) good ending sequences.
