Hello, Im Yashin (24), mining engineering student in the beautiful city of Delft, the Netherlands.
I used to be a frequent chessplayer (also on Redhotpawn) six years ago (I even was MAP of the month back in july 2004). I learned chess at primary school, a lot has changed since then but one thing remained: The love for chess and the King's Gambit. I'm a member of the chessclub "Het Spaarne" in Haarlem. As a youth player I played countless rapid and blitz games and I even once finished second at our province rapid championships when I was about 12 years old. I only play 7 games OTB each year now (for my club), but I like it even more then I ever did. I love chess-puzzles and because of them my tactical insight is slightly 'different' then normal. Aggressive play and sacrificing pieces play a big part in my playstyle. Playing a good and beautiful game is more important to me than to win.
