Chess Terms : Exposed King Explained
An Exposed King in chess refers to a situation where the king is susceptible to attack because it lacks sufficient protection from its pawn shield or other pieces. This may occur if the king is caught in the center of the board, if the pawn structure in front of the king has been damaged, or if the player has moved the king out from behind its initial defences.
