Fifty-Move Rule

The Fifty-Move Rule in chess is a rule that states a player can claim a draw if no capture has been made and no pawn has been moved in the last fifty moves. The purpose is to prevent a player with a superior position from bullying an opponent with a gradually decreasing number of pieces by making aimless moves. If both players agree, the game can continue for more than fifty moves.
