Chess Terms : Insufficient Material Explained
Insufficient Material in chess refers to a game situation where one or both players do not have enough pieces (or material) on the board to checkmate the opponent. This could occur, for example, if a player only has a King left, or if a player has a King and a minor piece (Bishop or Knight), but the opponent only has the King. In such cases, the game is declared a draw.
