Chess Terms : Wing Gambit Explained
Wing Gambit is a chess opening in which a player, more often White, sacrifices one or more flank pawns (those on columns A and H) in order to achieve a rapid development and control of the center. The aim is to draw an opponent's pawns and pieces towards the side of the board and away from the center.
