my math sees several hundred games as a possibility

You'd also have to have all hundred of those clans agree to a match....what are the chances of that happening?
I've already seen at least one clan leader say you wouldn't get a challenge accepted from their clan......

why would I need all the clans agree to have the number in the hundreds?
if only 20 clans agreed to the max allowed it would exceed 100 games for one player
