Outside of the wonderful world of RHP, I coach youth football (soccer). Boys and girls over the years, from 5-18 years old. We have a local club - I coach whatever team they ask me too.
On the first day every fall (2nd week of August actually) I tell the players and the parents - the other team is not the enemy. The other team is our partner.
If the other team does not come and play, all we get to do is practice with ourselves. We can do that for a few weeks (a month?) - but without the other team(s) I am pretty sure players will stop coming to practice after a while. The games are the fun part - and it takes our partners wearing the other color to do that with us.
Our clan teams here are the same thing. We need each other. I am willing to bet real money that neither Fred or Michael are thumbing down posts in the clan forum. They understand all this as well as, or better than, anyone.
We are in this together. This is not the Debates or General forum.
This is us.
@Bish saidAgain, brilliantly put. Well done.

@Bish saidI get a thumbs down, one always thumbs down for years. Who ever it is, they are consistent, and determine. I get sad when I don't see my thumbs down now. lol lol
Someone doesn't like me 🙂. Some of the parents don't like me either - so there is that.
consider it a badge of honor. That someone takes that amount of time to come in here, read everything, and give a thumbs down. I find it really funny now.
Your posts are solid and brilliantly thought out. Pay them no mind my friend. 🙂
@Bish well said, it would be great if more new clans were started but it takes a lot of time to set up and run, we need new clans to keep the feature going there is nowhere near as many as 10 years or so ago, and yes the fun part is the team aspect and banter with other clan leaders, i have always loved the clan feature, what hooked me on this site
@Wycombe-Al saidFor your amusement Al - I have a Chairboys jersey. Black and red training-ground one 😉 Sharp.

Cherry Red Records. Martin & Co on the sleeve âš½
@Wycombe-Al saidSweet!
@Bish nice one, my oldest Wycome top is from 2001 when Wycombe played Liverpool in the FA cup semi final
A lot of Wrexham followers here now. Going to be a great run-in. We get some TV games on Saturday mornings. Not a lot - but every now and again,
@Wycombe-Al saidAl, I believe one of the issues is being a Clan Leader is a very hard and difficult job as you know, depending on the size of the clan you have to try and keep everyone happy which is a difficult thing to start with. Then study players to know their real Strength Ratings, which can take a long time to do. Then you have to deal with personal issues members in your clan may be having. This is a few of the reasons, I would never want to try to be a Clan Leader. I love helping and assisting my Clan Leader, but wouldn't want all the responsibility myself, I think this is part of the issue in getting new Clans started. Look at all the 1 person Clans there were at one point in time.

I have been saying for years that a Clan should have a Co-Clan Leader to assist them! Something to think about maybe?

@Very-Rusty saidGood idea, one for Russ maybe regards co-leader?

@Chris-Guffogg saidI don't believe I have made a direct request to Russ, but have mentioned it several times in the forums, which I know he looks at. I do not know the coding or time it would take if this were to be implemented. I know it would help the Bigger Clans for sure!! The clan leader could use a break from time to time and a good way to teach someone else how to make Challenges in as fair a way as possible. We know everyone looks for a slight edge, but there those who look for Landslide for themselves.
Good idea, one for Russ maybe regards co-leader?

@Chris-Guffogg saidGood Idea, I will comment on it as well.
@Very-Rusty
I've put it on the Idea's forum...
