This is the site for a 40 minute fan movie set in Tolkein's Middle Earth. It deals with the events that take place between the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. Anyway, it's an amateur production, made by fans, with all volunteer actors. Their total budget was around 3,000 Pounds, but don't let that fool you. They've done an amazing job with what they had at their disposal. It was made to have the same look and feel as the Peter Jackson films and they got actors that look remarkably like Viggo Mortensen and Ian McKellen. If you like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, you'll like this. I guarantee it!

just watched it. If it was really done for 3,000 pounds I'm impressed. I doubt Peter Jackson minds this type of homage but New line cinema might have a thing or two to say. I hope they cannot touch these fans though. Speaking of ol' Peter, have you seen the trailer for District 9? Wow.

Indeed a nice short film filling in one of the voids in the stoiry. Probably there is much more to come.
