I see ads in the posts.

I am receiving ads when I view posts.

Can anyone clarify what is going on?

I take it that you've done a full anti virus \ malware scan ? Something like 'spybot', along with 'avg' would normally bring something to light. You may have to manually remove it however... exactly what is it 'advertising' ?

Google "deal cabby" and you'll see a typical one of these programs, along with removal instructions. Look through your list of installed programs and you may spot a recent arrival that you didn't ask for.

Thanks Kewpie I'll look that up.

Everyone is seeing them.

The ads are for everything from mac books to holidays.

They're not being generated by the site, you've got yourself infected with something. Do the malware removal thing to get rid of it. Spybot's good.

I never get this sort of ailment, have you been surfing around places you shouldn't have been?

I must add that I'm yet to see one of these little blighters also...I'm obviously the owner of an extremely boring browse history lol...

They often come as an innocent little tickbox on something you're installing. You and I are the suspicious paranoid types who untick everything. 🙂

Your check for membership renewal was returned non-sufficient-funds. 😳

Just to update, I took Kewpie's valuable advice and downloaded Spybot.

It found the problem straight away and described it as adware.

I pressed the FIX PROBLEM button and it got rid of it.

Then I pressed IMMUNISE and it started to show me a brick wall building graphic
to emphasise that it was protecting my programmes and files.

It showed me how many programmes and files I had in 2 columns.

On the left was unprotected and on the right was protected.

I watched as all the figures were transferred from one column to the other.

So I am a happy little bunny now.

Thank God it was easy to do because I am not a computer wizard.

I can't take the credit, it was RevRSleeker who suggested it first. But I'm better looking ... 🙂

Very true, I'll deliberately go out of my way to ensure I've not inadvertently left myself 'exposed' on the net..it's definitely worth the few extra mins checking everything out !
