Hi,
Is it possible to add a small analysis board to the play game page (or perhaps
put in on another page)? I mean a board where you can move the pieces around
indefinitely to look at variations.
I don't know if this has been suggested before. Apparently other sites have this
feature and it might help with that bug some people have seen where the first
move they make is taken mistakenly as their move.
Just an idea.
John.
Yes John, there have been all sorts of suggestions along these lines.
What I'd like to see would be the ability to start off a game and to be
able to act as both players. This would enable the better players on
this site (not me!) to enter 'instructional' games for teaching purposes
or just for others to comment on. These 'games' could be flagged up
as 'Teaching' or something and would of course be outside of the
rating system.
Along the same lines, and something which has been sugggested
before, would be the chance to set up boards some moves into classic
openings or just interesting positions and to allow the players to
continue from there.

I just can't duplicate the move 'bug'.
Not sure if I have asked everyone this before, but those of you who
have seen this problem, are you AOL users using the AOL
browser?
The custom game feature is on the cards.
Starting a game by either pasting in a FEN or using a little page/tool
to generate them. These games will not be rated, of course.
Not sure about the demand for any tutoring modes, so that is not
really being considered at the moment.
