Average rating of opponents

Hi RUSS,

Would it be possible to have the average rating of a players opponents in their profile?

ie. Joe has played 5 games aginst players rated ...

1350
1200
1550
1800
1780
average=1536

This would give some indication of a players level, other than their rating which can be manipulated to a certain degree.

I am assuming you are want this in place to complement the current rating system rather than replaceing it.

Yes, ideally. I just think it would be an interesting statistic. We already have the fastest mover, why not the bravest player as well. Judge it on their opponents average rating. I wonder who'd win?

Excellent idea.

I would recommend a slight twist...Have the average over the last 30-50 games. Those games are the most reflective of the current rating.
