This has been happening for about a week for me. Using RedHotPawn.com every board loads very slowly. I think it is downloading every piece graphic every time. The '35 objects remaining' message in the status bar show every time. (Using IE 6)
Prior to a week ago this wasn't happening. Now, as I had been instructed I skimmed through the FAQ and noticed there were mirror sites so I tried another one of these.
RedHotChess.com works just fine. I can step through a game in no time, where with RHP.com it will take me forever. So it doesn't seem to be a browser setting.
So the obvious solution is to switch to RHC.com, but the emails I get sent will still link me to RHP which is really handy.

So can anyone give me any advice on this?
Thanks, Sam.
Try clearing your browser cache to speed things up at rhp.

Agreed. 9 times out of 10 when people have this problem with Internet Explorer (including me), going into Tools - Internet Options and clearing the cache works miracles.

Can someone translate this for German software please?
Originally posted by SammyJ Thanks for this. It did work. I still don't get why RHP started loading slowly but the other versions didn't, but I guess it doesn't matter.
Appreciate the time taken.
Sam.
You hadn't built up your cache on one of the other versions. If you used one for any duration the same could have happened.
