Clan games question

If you have your normal game challenge limit set, is this limit in effect for clan game assignments?

I know when you sign up for a tournament, your game challenge limit is ignored when the tournament starts, which can put your games above the challenge limit.

This filter must be over ridden by clan games. Clan members have the option of making themselves unavailable for battle instead.
