Country statistic

It would be nice if there where some stats about te country's, like the (highest / lowest / average) rating or moves for every country.

This my also stimulate players to put there country's national flag on.

And please note, I have not included all countries here, just the more common ones, and more likely, the ones whos flags I recognised. No offence intended if I omitted someone, Will do this in more detail at a later stage. Or, if you like, send me the top 5 players from your country and their ratings and i'll update it!

Average Rating of TOP 5 Players from a country - who would come out tops if we had a 5 board competition!!!

it would be interesting to see all Austrian, ... players and their rating and the total nb of players.

My point is that your stats are flawed. For example, Bbarr (the no.2 rated player on the site) uses the Polish flag, but he is from the U.S. and has probably never been to Poland. Are you going to count him into the Polish stats?

I believe that one takes pride in one's country.

I am living in the UK and have been here for 3 years, but I carry the South African flag, because I consider myself South African

So the sats should be based on the nationalities we consider ourselvets to be.

Yes, I know one can put any country and so it is true that the stats will never be 100%, but if we all take pride in our countries and are honest, then we will actually get some useful stats.

That's why somebody should put there flag up, so that his rating is being counted at the average top 5. There is nothing wrong being proud at your flag.

Especially the Dutch flag, sinds nobody can beat them 😛

Anyone want me to keep posting at regular intervals the Top countries ranked as I have above? or any other way? Am happty to do this if people want.
