The forum uses smileys and you link to a message (with gid-tag) like this example:

Why are these quickbuttons not in the inbox. It would be handy for sending messages.

BTW are there more tag like gid that can be used in the forum? Where can I find a list?

Don't know about the smileys, but having the option to create links to games in personal messages would be certainly be nice. 🙂
