Can anyone tell me how to find a particular player on here to play ?

The "Players" button's search page should find anyone who's played in the last few months, I believe. You need to know at least the first few letters accurately. If you don't have that much try to find any other person who may be a regular opponent of theirs. Or ask in the General Forum giving what information you have regarding name, rating, location etc.
