The message log hasn't worked properly since the current interface was installed. I have a current game which had messages working properly for a while and now it's not functioning, yet in other games things are normal. I'm pretty fed up with it myself, but for some reason nobody thinks it's important enough to fix. It's been reported several times in the Help forum but I don't know if anyone's actually sent feedback.
