Joined 20 Jan '09 Moves 384976 If it's a .bmp or a .jpg, open it with the Paint program and then save it as a .gif file. They're smaller. The other thing you can do is to use the same Paint program to crop off part of the picture.

Open in "Paint".
On the Home tab, is a "Resize" icon.
Select that, then reduce the size in pixels. (Width = 100 pixels, if you want to reduce to exact size for upload as RHP profile photo. )
Save again (as PNG, GIF or JPG), then upload.
I'll try to add support for more personalization of profiles in future. Bigger images at least.
