You have learned a harsh lesson. You will not make this mistake again. Stalemate is where your opponent cannot make a legal move. It can be avoided by the superior attacking force by making sure, if you cannot deliver checkmate, you leave the enemy king a flight square.
Stalemate is not checkmate, so it is not a victory within the laws of the game. Unlike a real battle, creating the perfect seige is NOT a good thing in chess ๐Ÿ™‚

There was a 4th post here, forget who it was by. It seems to have been removed, but there is no post to that effect.

Could someone explain why this was removed and how come no one was told.

Insulting never seemed to be an issue in the past...why I myself have been insulted numerous times, never seen those posts removed...

i think saffa73 gave a small hit to the admins/moderators to delete that post he made, so others could not uselessly reply on it like, him and him and....me
