i went offline for a day & now i get all but the game board,i can,t see chess peices

HOW DO YOU MOVE PIECES, ON THE CHESS BOARD,
WITHOUT THE PIECES MOVING FOUR SQUARES FORWARD??????

F5 DOESN'T WORK HELPING THE PIECE MOVE TO THE CORRECT SQUARE
ANY INPUT WOULD BE HELPFUL
YES, I AM NEW & YES, I'VE READ THE DIRECTIONS
BUT ALL OF MY PIECES GO TOO FAR
