Suppose new player Tom, rated at 1200, starts a game with Harry who is rated at, let's say 1220. The game proceeds slowly and in the meantime both players complete several games with other players, Tom winning his games and Harry losing his. By the time that initial game is complete, Tom is now rated at 1220 and Harry has dropped to 1200. Will the players "win expectancys" be calculated based on their ratings when they began their game or what it was when they ended it?
