This is a new problem. You can't create a seventh game but there should be no problem with existing games. Ask him to try again, if it still doesn't work ask him to send feedback to get it fixed.

If he were attempting to start a new game with you at this time he might get a message about your 6 game limit, but not for making a move in a game already in progress.

Even in the case where a subscribing member has more than six games going and allows their subscription to expire they are still allowed to finish all of their ongoing games. In that case they could not start any new games because of their non-subscriber status until they are below the 6 game limit.

Your opponent should send a feedback to get this resolved, since he's the one who can't move. I assume you have not had any problem moving when it's your move.
