The tournaments tend to have the same bands from one set to the next. While 200 is a great range, why not mix it up...
Current set...
1000-1199
1200-1399
1400-1599
Next set...
900-1099
1100-1299
1300-1499
1500-1699
And then...
950-1149
1150-1349
1350-1549
The point is that by mixing the bands up a bit, most players will get a chance at being on the higher end of a tournament. Plus, it will allow players to play a greater range of rated players while still in the comfort of a banded tournament.
