There is to be a pb with the move count when you navigate in game history :
- Starting position (with no pieces moved) is given as Move N° 1
- White's 1rst move is Move N° 1 as well.
BUT
- Black's 1rst move is given as Move N°2 (when it ought to be a Move N°1 again).
Move N°2 should be W's second move & again B's second move - in that order.
W's n move is counted as Move N° n (but it is in fact B's following half move)
B's n move is counted as Move N° n+1. Consequences being that B does not have a Move N°1 & gets credited with the first half move of the Move Number (when he shouldn't).
Anyway the Move counter is wrong.
Just thought I'd mentioned it.
I think this has been asked before, and the answer is that the counter isn't wrong. It doesn't show the move that has just happened, rather the move that is about to happen. Therefore it'll say 2 after blacks 1st move because it's about to be whites 2nd. Supposedly that's how is should be done & it's OK one you get used to it

Suppose I click once on the right arrow (at the beginning of the game). It says "Last Move e4", "Move Number 1" okay.
after another click it says "Last Move e5", "Move Number 2". wrong š!
...
the "move nb" should start with two "move nb 1" and not with only one. (I mean: now: 1,2,2,3,3,4,4... right: 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,...)
And I don't want to get used to something which is wrong. š
Many people play chess at this wonderful place here to improve (or they say so š). The export (email game) feature does not work properly (as is does not export in the pgn standart. but I understand that this will not change, because everything here is based on FEN :'(). For me this is the biggest miss. Although I like the site very much! š
