The number of people registered is now around 31,370, more or less.
Not all of them are still active here of course, and it probably would need some sort of program subroutine to count how many unique players make a move during a specific period of time. It would have to look at every move made and count each user only once, regardless of how many moves they make during the selected time period.
Such a program could get a count by month, week, day, or hourly, depending on how creative the programmer is, and how much time he wants to spend on it.
Maybe Russ or Chris could put such a program together sometime, but they are probably pretty swamped with keeping up with current projects here, and with their real jobs.
It would be interesting to know though, wouldn't it?!

One way (not great(!) but the only way I can think of) would be to not move for two weeks (or a month, or however you want to define 'active'😉 and see what position you fall to on the recent players ladder.
I didn't play for a week during December and seem to remember falling to around 2,500th on the recent players ladder (can't remember for sure).

Wondering if anyone can answer this ?? I've finished 4 games now and after each one the screen shows a "rematch" button I can click. Is this the opponent requesting a rematch or an automatic option I can use to issue a rematch....does the same screen appear on my opponents game?? If someone really wants a rematch I will gladly oblige but if it's just a option that pops up that's different.
BTW the way the site is fabulous....only on a few days....gatta get me one of those "PAWN STARS". I'm from Canada so I guess $14.95 US$ is about 75$ in our money 🙂
Thanks 🙂

If you don't want to play them again, don't click the button :-)

Hi there.
After the game is completed, in place of the 'move' button there is a 'rematch' button, which appears for both players automatically. So nope, it's not the opponent requesting a rematch, but rather RHP giving you the option to set one up. And if you do want to play a rematch don't worry about setting it up, if your opponent doesn't want to play again (s)he can simply delete the new game without it affecting records or ratings 🙂
