Hi,
I was playing svs but I got this message today "Player banned - game resigned" but what does that mean, was he caught cheating?

Also as a side my ranking hasn't improved with the win (why?)

did have a look in FAQ for "banned" but didn't find anything

I don't think you get any rating points in this situation - maybe someone else can confirm.

Shouldnt get any points - because the rating of opponent was invalid.

The player was banned for having multiple accounts. They have recently changed the system so you do NOT recieve rating points from in progress games with players that are banned. You recieve the win that's it. Hope that helps, 😉

Good glad to see the cheaters and harrassers off the site. I looked up the list and found a person that timed me out and to see him on the list makes me smile. Goodbye tribute to chessman1155. :-)

He didn't get banned for that. He got banned for harassing a member of the site.
