Sorry about the previous non question - finger error.

How do the ratings work?

I have lost two games. My rating after losing one game to a player of 1200 went to 1176. Recently I lost to a player of over 1400 and it has gone to 1076!

Please explain.

It has to do with the fact that you have played only 2 rated games, and as such your rating is provisional. I forget exactly how the algorithm works, but I sure this can be located in "Help".

I don't know, how the rating works, but I have a similar problem:
I have 4 finished games of which I lost 1 and I win 3. Now the system shows that I have 1345 points! It's impossible, because yesterday I had about 1230-1240.
Please if anybody reads this note and he/she is involved in the development, think about it, because there's something wrong.
I don't like the points for which I didn't have to play...

See the aforementioned post by Chrismo: for the first 20 games, your rating may well fly about a bit: especially for the first few games. It will stabilise though, so don't worry if it looks a little odd initially.
