With many games you forget this over time.
But the movements remind you of it again.

From the board you should have an option to "Analyze".
Go to the board for the game you want to see and hit this button. A pop-up should appear with the current state-of-play. You can move the pieces as you see fit.
This does not affect the game and the moves are not validated - so be aware that you can test out illegal positions.

There's also a notes section on the board itself, where you can save remarks that only you can see.
