Running out of ink and paper

How do you make this flipping note book feature work?..Dag-nam it!!

Type in your notes and hit "submit move". If you have made a move OR NOT, the notes will be saved. The first time you hit "submit move" without having made a move is scary because you think, "well maybe I accidently did???" Don't worry, it works.
