Search Forums by Subject

What happened to this feature, now you can only search by author and date. I couldn't tell if this thread had been asked before because I can't search by subject or key words anymore.

I, too, have been missing this function. I don't use it alot, but it's annoying when it isn't there when you need it.

How come when I search I get no results and the error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/redhotpawn.com/board/showthread.php on line 353

I think there was another thread about this issue?

If I remember correctly, Russ said that they (the 'admins'😉 thought the feature would have to be removed following a change on the site.

However, it turned out this was not the case and that the feature would be re-introduced.

I imagine this is somewhere on a long list 🙂

There was indeed such a thread: I remember 'cos I wrote it.
And if I didn't know it was me who started the thread , and roughly when, I'd never have been able to find it using the current search function:

But more to the point: I got a recommended from somebody! Cheers whoever you are!

I think google has indexed this whole site, so It should be possible to search all of the forum posts, I think. I just did it once and it worked 😀

Try this in the search form at google:

site:www.redhotpawn.com your keyword

or use this URL

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=+site:www.redhotpawn.com+your keyword

hmmm.... Interesting, so I have to go off site to search for something on this site.
