I'm trying to understand if it's possible to do a text search on the forums. The search option at the top of the forum page gives options to search by author and a text search of the site. But using the text search of the site doesn't appear to search the forum content eg searching for "Greeter" fails to bring up a link to the thread entitled "Greeter program" in the Site Ideas forum.

There is not a fell text search feature other than the Google search - which can be slow to index. So forum search is only minimally supported.
