Is there any way to look at the games on this site from when it first started? Without knowing the name of the players?
It used to have page numbers but now the forever scrolling doesn't work that far back, it freezes up.
How can I see the players back then?
Any tips?
So many edits, seems that only numbers beyond 100'000 are valid 🙁
Another edit: https://www.redhotpawn.com/daily/game/4776 this leads you to an early game.
For what it's worth, here's a link to my first game, which was game id number 18, and started in Feb. 2001.
However, you will see that it is totally messed up if you try to play through it.
The actual game was nothing like this.
I have no idea how this got so scrambled. 🙁

I’ve seen some ruthless chess moves played in my time, but none quite as brutal as the sixth move, Qxe8.
Well done for coming back from that setback to win the game!
@Tommovich
I guess you understand that the real game was nothing like that in any way.
I have no idea how it got so messed up in that PGN display, but it is impossible from the very first move and only gets worse as it progresses!
There were lots of growing pains and needed fixes in the first few months, but problems were addressed by Russ and Chris and we evolved nicely.
@mwmiller saidIndeed I’d be worried if that had been the actual game 🙂

It was quite surreal from the first move, but I just loved the way the queen jumped over the bishop to actually take the king! Take no prisoners and all that.
If only my games were as entertaining…
