You've accidentally clicked the Dark Theme button? If that's what you did, click it again to fix. (bottom of My Settings menu)

You may have "dark theme" selected, which I use.

To change it back, click on the 3 lines near your profile pick, and click on "dark theme" to change it.

Is this still the case? I have just been tinkering with a file that is related to branding - so I'd like to know if there is a non-obvious issue?
