I am going out to pick up my Mother and bring her back for a nice thanksgiving dinner which I am making personally!

Probably Halibut . He's in the Maritimes and I don't think they have turkey there. All the "turkeys" are west of there.

We actually do have turkey, don't listen to the western canadians, they don't know much about the maritimes to begin with, so as a rule just make stuff up.

I decided to have chicken instead of turkey, we will be having that in another couple of months

So, I baked the chicken to a golden brown, sweet potatoes, mixed vegs fresh not out of any can, also Jellied cranberries.

For desert Pumkin and Apple pie...I like my apple pie with icecream.

Mother enjoyed herself, and a fun time was had by all!

My mouth is watering although I tried a foul recipe provided by Phlab that was tastey albeit in the "wrong" proportions. Oh and I may be from west of you (southwestern Ontario) I am not from "The West" and no I'm not from "the Centre of the Universe" (Toronta).

I've been there often both on business and pleasure and be it any part of the Maritimes, the folks are very welcoming and earnest. Oh and the food is AWSOME...to say nothing of the fine beverages available there too. Oh I'm way southwest of the "real" Big Apple (not New York). I'm between London and Windsor.
