This guy Dennis Monokroussos writes a great blog:
www.thechessmind.net
I don't really pay much attention to the chess news, but if you're into that he seems to update regularly with lightly annotated games. Sometimes he posts free instructional videos, or like today, he'll post a really nice link:
http://www.onlinemasters.org/50-great-blogs-to-improve-your-chess-game
Might be helpful to some of you. If anyone has opinions about any of these blogs please share, or if there's anything missing (like GP's blog 🙂) maybe fill in the hole(s)...
Originally posted by antiopeningsI started off with dozens of games without a loss, as I started out at p1200 and played whatever games I could get. As I played higher the losses came, although the lower "opponent average rating" takes a while to catch up.
Wow no losses yet? what is your USCF rating?
I think these patterns are more a reflection of the site's rating system and pool dynamic, than any kind of measure for an individual player in the short run.
