Lots of blunders, some more obvious than others.

17.Qd2 rather than 17. Kf1 would have left White a pawn up.

19. dxe6 would probably have left Black with a lone queen against two rooks and a knight.

Black missed a mate in one on move 26.

However after blundering his queen a few moves later, he did well not to fall for 29. ... Rxe1 30. Qa5! with an easy win for White.

thanks great and illustrious fattened one, I wish white had won, it seemed that he was
under the kosh for so much of the game but amazingly found some resources.

Painful to watch the game due to blunders on both sides but white was outranked by some 600 points. He should have aimed to open safely and not get his King mated in the centre.

I agree, he should have played 1.d4 2.Nf3 and 3.e3, good call!

Interesting game with the stronger player doing the bullying, bluffing and blundering.

I needed an example for the Duck to show someone grabbing a pawn
instead of taking a mate in one. (move 27...Rxa2??). Cheers.

Could white have won this game?

The two chances I could see were here. I'm thinking if White had given
himself more time and played the moves he was bluffed out of playing then
he has excellent winning chances.

And here, Fat Lady is correct about White having the chance to leave Black with
a lone Queen v the two Rooks and a Knight. Black has just played 18...c6.
White could have gone for the Queen a sac amove earlier. With f4 and c6 played
I think it is even better for him.

thanks GB, white is a personal friend and has a knack for sometimes beating stronger
players than himself, his average is between 1100-12000 but he's beaten up on 1600
players.

It seems to me at the end white simply did not activate his queen--he allowed it to be held back and pushed around by the pawns, Bishop, and Rook. Considering the strong placement of the knight, White would've done well to get his Queen on the other half of the board--I think there would've been some good mating attack opportunities there.
