....Plus pictures of the Duck playing another duck in the snow from Kbear.

A game, cLiMan - kewo RHP 2007 where one lad has 8 passed pawns
(not a typo - 8 passed pawns) and gets mated.

When someone says "I sacced both Rooks for a mate"
you think that Black's Queen has snaffed both Rooks then got mated

Not so, in knight majik - Ray Zachary RHP 2009 we see this final position.

Great games but none of these compare to the game:

    Indosmart - SilentSpic RHP 2007

    Which I have christened:

    The RHP Jewel of Doom

    Lovely blog.
One of the best duck bath chess photos I've seen too.

Does the duck want to come to England at all?

Cheers GPII, but dont thank me thank the RHP lads whithout whom
I'd be stuck. Yes some super games.

No doubt The Duck will end up in England sometime.

A picture of The Duck at Tower Bridge would be good though I could
do that myself when I pop down to watch Leyton Orient play.

They are playing this weekend in Hartlepool, this for me was a home game
but I cannot make it this year. The curse of work.
(going to drop a couple of quid on it being a draw.)

I can see The Duck's travels turning onto a book.
The Duck is getting more fan mail than me. 🙁

The Duck will accept your kind offer.

The way it works is wait till I PM you who to PM with where you want The Duck delivered.
(home, work, the corner shop, anywhere..)
I've no need to know the address just the one user who has The Duck.

Was hoping Gramps, or one of the Pauls might like a shot.
(Not Swiss Gambit - he would only pull the head off to see how it works.)
    But anyone can join in.
Russia, Lavtia, Scandinavia, India (I love the Duck to go to India.)

Fat Lady lives in a beautiful part of England so I was considering asking him
but I strongly suspect he has Mafia connections and would only use The Duck
to start sending drugs around the world.

'The Duck has been Arrested' is one Blog headline I don't want to write.

Yes it was great fun doing this one.
Beneath all the hilarity there is an instructive theme. (honestly, you have to look for it)
The note saying you can move a piece pinned to the Queen is one.
Only pins to the King are Absolute Pins.

Never marry anyone who shows you two freshky captured Rooks is another.

Blimey... another O's fan... what were the chances of that. When I was young and my Dad let me fill in the Pools Leyton Orient were a cert for a score draw.
I decided to watch a game at Brisbane Road last year and I called to ask when the match kicked off... and they asked me when I could get there.

PS. Never stop blogging... great stuff.
PPS. I can only offer South Coast sunshine

Uhoh. I sometimes go with my brother when I'm visiting home. This could turn out to be a mini-tournament venue. I bet that's not the kind of tournament Barry had in mind when he bought it.

    They screwed up against Hartlepool.
I had £5.00 on the draw. Orient led 1-0 for 88 minutes
then let in two goals in the last two minutes.

Like a typical game of RHP chess.
You win a pawn in the opening, nurse it through the middle game, then with
the endgame win in front of you blow it big time going from 1-0 to ½-½ to 0-1
all in the space of two moves.
