Only Chess

A new and wonderful idea on how to really improve you chess study time.

A three mover by Henry Dudeney (1857 - 1930) and an RHP
game I found that could have contained a very similar theme.

A missed drawing idea from GM Morozevich, which was spotted and played by
an RHP player. I have given two RHP examples though the latter, due to typical
‘move first-regret it later’ play, a mate in one was missed to produce a stalemate.

Hi Geoff,
I guess this one could be categorized as "transportation," which reminds me of your post about how chess can be applied to one's work as an air traffic controller.

I recall that one. Divide the air space into 64 x 1,000 meter squares
and play chess with the planes.

Thanks for the post Geoff - It's yet another variation of all those folks out there in trains, planes, and boats, happily lost in their tactics exercises while everyone around them fuss's and complains about transportation delays, weather, politics and the like.

BTW - That desk of yours is a classic!

Well done. 🙂
