Much silliness in this years Christmas Quiz but there is this...

A genuine puzzle from H. Lommer (1904-1980), White to play and win.

Clue = Find the Skewers.

Then a really good recent OTB game which leads onto two RHP
games played with the same opening (an anti London System idea)

Thank you for another year of interesting blogs.

And I found the Knight's puzzles quite nice 😉

Hi Booger,

It not until April (7th to the 23rd) The match nobody, including the players, wanted.
I fear Carlsen's name will be mentioned more than the players and whoever wins
will not be viewed by some as the champion and in future world title lists they will
always have a an * attached to their title win explaining that Carlsen resigned the title.

@greenpawn34

Very true but that is not new to chess.
After the deaths of Morphy and Alekhine it was like that and after the running away with Fischer and Kasparov.

April? Why was I told January 23rd?
