Just sharing a few thoughts regarding the iPhone app. During recent work it has become clear that the iOS app specifically needs a massive overhaul.
The iOS app was built after the Android app, and mirrors the way Android apps typically work, but does not use the current "design language" of iOS apps.
As Apple has updated the tools for iOS UI development significantly in recent years, combined with the realisation that the existing code is becoming *very* difficult to maintain now, it is clear it is time for a fresh approach.
So expect a new version in the coming months, but with a few navigation tweaks. Unfortunately, the existing version will remain without updates in the meantime. (The Facebook links, for example, need to be removed ASAP, but will now remain - in a broken state - a little longer.)
When the time comes, I'll call out for help testing. And this will need a lengthy test period too.
@moonbus saidYes, it is the same app, so all will get any benefits.
Will iPads also get a refurbishment?
A little update though - there is no update, unfortunately.
This was intended to be done by now (by end of Jan 2025), but my own terrible estimates strike once again, and this is still way off. Sorry!
