It was slow yesterday morning in the UK around 10:00.
I went back on later and it was fine.
Russ knows about this from the other week but said he couldn't find out why.

I am investigating. It appears fine to me right now, but I believe the game explorer is causing problems downstream when targeted by bots/scrapers. (Lots of traffic!)

If this does become a recurring problem, and it has happened before, then the Game Explorer will be better isolated from the web site as a whole.

The Games Explorer is at fault, so will remain offline until this issue is resolved.

Game Explorer is now back online.

Server now has been upgraded for better performance (*2) and more importantly better protection against being overloaded by bots as happened earlier today.

Unfortunately we just has a reoccurrence of this problem, so further work required!
