2..d5 dampens white's central control pretty effectively.
A bishop on g7 helps a lot against the Grand Prix Attack, black often gets good play on the dark squares.
Think carefully about where you want your Kings knight, in many variations it's often better placed on e7 than f6.

Playing against it with white, I like to give the impression I’m gonna walk into some of their 20+ moves deep theory by going into their favourite variation then playing something like f4 vs. the Dragon, or a4 vs. the Najdorf ect.
A good general chooses his battlefield....
