Some suggestions for anyone who plays in large group tournaments, especially the site championship (except my opponents🙂):

Even though I know 60 days is a LONG time I've felt this crazy pressure to move quickly because my "clock is running." For the first few days I felt like I was playing a blitz simul and I made some poor moves as a result.

First suggestion: Don't look at the clock. 60 days is a LONG time. You probably don't need to move more than once a day in the middle game when things are most complex. On big moves, don't be afraid to take 2 days.

Second, whenever you're about to move, first open "analyze board" and replay the previous 3 or 4 moves. Sometimes you make a move with an idea and by the time you see the game again you don't remember what that idea was and you're looking at the position from scratch. If you replay the previous few moves, it will jog your memory as to what was happening in that game. Either that or write yourself notes, I suppose.

Good luck; this is one fun tournament!
