When a game ends in a draw how do both players get the points?

The normal scoring system gives half a point to each player.

The rating changes after drawn games are more or less negligible, unless you manage to reach a draw against a much, much higher rated player in which case you are awarded a good share of rating points. (but never as much as when you would win, naturally)
