First time I have met English OTB. With him graded quite a bit higher than me, I was happy 🙂 Names etc removed obviously.
I firgured that he was playing not the best. He set up a queen side attack and then just played moves like h3, h4, things like that. I was swapping off the white bishops because after e6 my bishop would be locked in. Also my black bishop was good and his was inactive/bad.
17. Bc3, I was mad at myself for not seeing this because I had tried so hard to get a good bishop vs his bad bishop imbalance. But thankfully then I realised I could play 17...c4! and force 18. d4. This made the imbalance to my favour and I was quite confident.
After 22...Nd3 I was quite sure I had the game in the bag (well an knight on the 3rd/6th rank which can never be moved is quite good!!). Any analysis would be great!
