That trick was done in some Sidney Sheldon novel back in the late 70's ... If Tomorrow Comes ... Master of the Game ... I can't remember which ... it may have even been Bloodline (but I don't think that plot fits). Anyway, they were all in separate rooms on a ship and this novice was able to pull off this same stunt. There were no delimiters in the string of numbers so he could make the string match the results.

Yeah, I figured it was clever. Did anyone figure out how he pre-wrote those numbers on the chalkboard. I actually can't remember what that was about as it was quite awhile back when I saw this video. If I remember correctly, he did make one error.

Yeah, I also wanted to mention, as I am quite new here, that this forum is a really cool chess forum. Very active.

is there anything to stop some dastardly person imitating this on R.H.P., for example i could challenge Korch as black, (not that he would play me as i am so low rated and he is so scared😛) and then perhaps seadevil or some other higher rated person as white and simply mimic their moves and watch as they played each other, no doubt the moderators would find this out as i jumped form 1500 to 2000 overnight so please don't try this at home, it will do nothing for your chess ability. Apologies to Korch dude he is one of the few highly rated people i know the name of - regards Robbie.

Still, the memory to do this trick has to be fascinating.
